Where are you based?
Our Bandhini Design House HQ is located in the beautiful Tallebudgera Valley on the Gold Coast, Australia. All our designs are created here, and we also hand-make our made-to-order cushions and textile art on site.
Can you create custom designs?
We love to! As we are a slow fashion company we are happy to offer small run custom designs. Please get in touch with our customer service team if you do have a custom design you are interested in producing.
Do you offer interior designs service?
Yes, we specialise in Commercial projects and also offer Residential storyboard and design services.

How do I apply for a wholesale account?
We supply to designers, stylists and stockists all over the world. Our registered wholesale clients receive a generous percentage off the retail pricing across our entire range.

PRODUCT QUESTIONS
My new cushion looks different to one I've previously bought, can you make them to match?
Due to the handmade and natural nature of our products, no two items are guaranteed to be the same. Hand-woven and hand-printed fabrics will be slightly different in pattern and naturally dyed threads can vary between dye lots.
Any small imperfections are not faults but unique characteristics that make your investment pieces truly beautiful.
Do your cushions come with inserts?
We offer the option of purchasing covers only, or add an insert for $20. This gives you the option of buying a complete set or just the cover if you already have inserts and like to refresh your space!
Indoor Lounge and Lumbar size add ons are a Feather insert, Euro size and Outdoor add ons are a Dacron insert.
Why does my insert look flat?
All our feather inserts come vacuumed packed to save on shipping costs. In your parcel you will have an instruction card that shows you how to fluff your feather insert. This will result in the insert tripling in size before your eyes—it's a lot of fun!
How should I wash my Bandhini cushion?
We recommend the safest way to wash your Bandhini cover is by a cold hand wash. For your insert, we recommend leaving it out in the sun for a few hours. For more details on how to clean your covers, including which are the best products to use, visit our Bandhini Care page.
What happens if one of the buttons breaks?
Our covers are all french seamed with recycled coconut buttons. This makes for a beautiful & sustainable finish, but we understand that they are more fragile. If one of you buttons does break, you will find a spare in the seam.
If you can't locate a spare inside your cover, please reach out to us at customerservice@bandhinidesign.com and we will send one out to you.
Where are your cushions made?
Most of our cushions are made by our team in India.
We employ craftsmen from local villages in India to create our beautiful handmade designs, and have a driver travel around to these villages to collect the designs. This allows our artisans to stay in their villages to work without relocating away from their families.
We are very passionate about keeping the ancient traditions of weaving, block & screen printing, embroidery and applique alive. We do our very best to support these village artisans and their families so they can continue to pass their traditional techniques to the new generations.
We also assemble our made-to-order cushions and textile artwork on-site at our Tallebudgera Valley HQ.
What materials do you use for your cushions?
We pride ourselves on producing products using environmentally friendly materials that will allow them to gently return to the earth. For that reason our fabrics are all sustainable or natural fibres and are hand dyed with natural dyes.

ORDER QUESTIONS
Do you ship overseas?
Yes, we ship all over the world, shipping costs are calculated at the checkout.
How long will it take to get my order?
In-stock orders usually ship within 1-3 business days. As we are a little bit out of town there can be delays with courier pickups.
Made-to-order products advise production timeframes in the description of each listing. Generally we advise to allow 2-5 business days for cushions and 4-6 weeks for bedding and artwork.
Delivery can be via Australia Post or courier and transit times will depend on your location.
Can I update my delivery address after I place my order?
We are able to change your shipping address before your order is despatched, please contact us as soon as possible to make sure we can amend your details in time.
Please ensure the address supplied is correct and complete. Once orders are shipped to the address supplied they are out of the hands of Bandhini and any redirections must be arranged by the customer directly with the courier company.
My parcel couldn't be delivered and was returned to a depot, can you arrange redelivery?
Our orders are shipped with Australia Post and couriers, therefore some deliveries may be held for collection at a courier depot and not a post office.
Receiving deliveries to the address supplied is the responsibility of the customer. Any redirection, redelivery or collection arrangements after despatch must be organised by the customer directly with the delivery company.
I live locally, can I pick up my order?
We are more than happy for you to drop in and collect, just email customerservice@bandhinidesign.com before placing your order so we can process it without postage charges.
